Stop Smiling Storefront: Chicago, Illinois
The STOP SMILING editorial offices are located in Wicker Park in Chicago. In the front half of the office is a multi-purpose storefront, which has been the scene for author Q&As (Studs Terkel, Aleksandar Hemon); intimate live performances (Super Furry Animals, Fred Anderson); film screenings (The Run-Up, Vice magazine's Heavy Metal in Baghdad); after-parties (DJ Shadow, National Public Radio); and more.
The majority of our literary events are recorded live for broadcast on Chicago's NPR affiliate (WBEZ). Photographs and videos of the events can also be viewed here at Stop Smiling Online.
