STOP SMILING celebrated its 10-year anniversary by saluting the contributors and subjects of the
Chicago Issue. The art-nouveau décor of Maxim’s in the Gold Coast of Chicago set the tone for the event, which featured sets by Chicago free-jazz ensemble the Fred Lonberg-Holm Trio, DJ sets by John Herndon of Tortoise and Ben Fasman. Guests were treated to an all-night open bar sponsored in part by Beaujolais wine, Chicago’s own Goose Island Brewery and WBEZ Chicago Public Radio.
